SO. i’ve been meaning to write some more personal blog entries since that seems to be the thing for artists to do these days and people do ask for that sort of thing. i will try to do that soon. in the meantime here is some real news. there is an article about the show tonight in the washington post: washingtonpost.com.
ALSO. been writing a lot. recording too. we finished recording 5 new songs ("On Your Side", "Wrecking Ball", "Can’t Save Yourself", "Loving Arms", "Sun Gonna Rise") i think i will release these as an EP. both digitally and in CD form to sell at shows.
ALSO. going to start recording a NEW record soon. these new songs are really fine. i think they call for a more intimate production - i might play all the instruments - probably all acoustic. that sort of thing. will keep you updated. i’ve demoed a handful and will do some more and then record it in no longer than 2 days.
WOLF TRAP. i will be joining the pat mcgee band on stage at the Wolf Trap this summer - July 18. this is a big outdoor venue (7,000 people) we got to see the band and stephen kellogg there last year and have seen Morrissey and more there. save the date. will make for a nice summer evening of music.
that’s it...

this week i am playing the rock and roll songwriter's circle at jammin java in vienna, va with my friends anthony fiacco, shane hines and todd wright. don't miss this one. we have some surprises for you. seriously.
ALSO i am playing the barns at wolf trap on saturday with the full band. this is one of the best venues of it's size in the country. we have wanted to play this place since moving here a few years ago. we'll be playing some new songs that i am really proud of.
here is a nice write up about the shows this week: DCist.com
I am nominated for Songwriter of the Year for the 2007 Washington Music Awards. If you are a member of WAMA - please vote for me. Next show is Jan 19 - full band at the Barns at Wolf Trap, Vienna, VA.
Doing a full week of shows with Pat McGee at Rams Head in Annapolis, Maxwell's in Hoboken and Rhode Island. Todd Wright will be joining me at each show on keys, voice and maybe guitar, bass and Danny Schwartz will be playing some percussion and singing.

Been writing a lot. Reviews of the new CD out in a bunch of magazines - Paste, HARP, Performing Songwriter (TOP 12 DIY!), and many more. Good to see a lot of you at shows recently.
